Heart Rate, Pace, Music and Coaching plans on the wrist gave runners an ‘all in one’ convenience to follow a plan with instant biometric feedback and nudge you toward a runner’s high.

With a clear target for the Young Urban Runner, adidas wanted to take a leap with their online training plans and audio based coaching methods by utilizing the emerging wrist based heart rate technology and create an “All in One” solution for runners to wear with pride as a statement to who they are.

The approach for a premium wrist computer started with convenience and comfort by lowering the center of gravity and creating a firm but forgiving lock down on to the wrist to eliminate any distractions for the runner.  The design language borrowed from our collective memory for bold and precise forms with premium color, materials and finishes to create an intuitive and iconic package that uses a single home button for ‘laps on the run’, to reduce the clutter.
